چکیده

Abstract. Atmospheric new particle formation (NPF) is a crucial process driving aerosol number concentrations in the atmosphere; it can significantly impact evolution of atmospheric and cloud processes. This study analyses at least 1 year asynchronous size distributions from six different locations India. We also analyze frequency NPF its contribution to condensation nuclei (CCN) concentrations. found that has considerable seasonal variability. At measurement sites analyzed this study, frequently occurs March–May (pre-monsoon, about 21 % days) common October–November (post-monsoon, 7 days). Considering events all locations, rate (JSDS) varied by more than 2 orders magnitude (0.001–0.6 cm−3 s−1) growth between smallest detectable 25 nm (GRSDS-25 nm) 3 (0.2–17.2 h−1). JSDS was higher nearly order during urban areas mountain sites. GRSDS did not show systematic difference. Our results showed could modulate shape CCN The given event highest (4.3 × 103 per 1.2 for 50 100 nm, respectively) as compared background (2.7 1.0 event, respectively). emphasize physical chemical pathways responsible factors control production require situ field observations using recent advances precursor gaseous techniques.

MULLITE SYNTHESIS AND FORMATION FROM KYANITE CONCENTRATES IN DIFFERENT CONDITIONS OF HEAT TREATMENT AND PARTICLE SIZE

The process of mullitization of kyanite concentrate was studied at different conditions of heat treatment (1400– 1600 °C and 0.5 – 3.5 hours) and particle size of raw materials (38-300 ?m). Kyanite concentrate was obtained fromore-dressing of kyanite deposits of Mishidowan-Bafgh region at 100 km northeastern part of Yazd. The results ofmicrostructure (shape, distribution and size of the grains)...

Estimating Particle Number Size Distributions from Multi-instrument Observations with Kalman Filtering

Atmospheric aerosol particles have several important effects on the environment and human society. The exact impact of aerosol particles is largely determined by their particle size distributions. However, no single instrument is able to measure the whole range of the particle size distribution. Estimating a particle size distribution from multiple simultaneous measurements remains a challenge ...

First long-term study of particle number size distributions and new particle formation events of regional aerosol in the North China Plain

Atmospheric particle number size distributions (size range 0.003–10μm) were measured between March 2008 and August 2009 at Shangdianzi (SDZ), a rural research station in the North China Plain. These measurements were made in an attempt to better characterize the tropospheric background aerosol in Northern China. The mean particle number concentrations of the total particle, as well as the nucle...

Mobility particle size spectrometers: harmonization of technical standards and data structure to facilitate high quality long-term observations of atmospheric particle number size distributions

Mobility particle size spectrometers often referred to as DMPS (Differential Mobility Particle Sizers) or SMPS (Scanning Mobility Particle Sizers) have found a wide range of applications in atmospheric aerosol research. However, comparability of measurements conducted world-wide is hampered by lack of generally accepted technical standards and guidelines with respect to the instrumental setup, ...
